Privacy Policy

When you use MCBU Kampus we collect the following data:

• Student identity: name, surname, student number and university login credentials (student portal sign in)
• Email and account identifiers (Firebase Auth, Sign in with Google, Sign in with Apple)
• Precise location during attendance (only to verify attendance)
• Photos you upload for events
• Device information and device integrity signals (root or jailbreak detection)
• Push notification token
• Usage analytics events
• Crash logs and device diagnostics

We use your data to verify and manage your account, take your lecture attendance, provide campus services, send notifications, improve the app and keep it secure. We do not sell your data to third parties for advertising.

The app uses your location only to verify lecture attendance, while you take attendance. Your location is not tracked in the background. You can turn the permission off at any time in device settings. We do not sell your location data to third parties for advertising.

The app uses the following third party services:

• Firebase Authentication (account verification)
• Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple (authentication)
• Cloud Firestore and Firebase Storage (app content and event photos)
• Firebase Analytics (usage statistics)
• Firebase Crashlytics (crash logs)
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (notifications)
• On-device biometric authentication (Face ID or fingerprint, data stays on your device)

MCBU Kampus shows no ads and contains no in-app purchases. The advertising id permission (AD_ID) is declared on Android, but there is no ad network in the app.

Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure and may be processed on Google's servers, which can be located outside Turkey (for example in the EU or USA). In those cases we apply the safeguards required by Article 9 of KVKK. We keep your data only as long as it is needed to provide the service and as required by law.

MCBU Kampus is intended for higher education students and staff. It is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age that applies in your country, and we do not knowingly collect data from a child under that age.

You may learn whether your data is processed, request information about it, and request correction or deletion. You can delete your account from the app or by writing to us. See the Delete Account page for details.
